About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator A (CRC A) at the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Neurology is responsible for coordinating multiple clinical studies throughout their lifecycle, including startup, conduct, and closeout. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage various tasks related to clinical research, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements while facilitating communication among study participants, investigators, and sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Review and comprehend assigned protocols to ensure compliance with study procedures and timelines.
  • Facilitate the approval of new study agreements and contracts.
  • Assist in developing study materials, including informed consent documents and case report forms.
  • Recruit and enroll study participants, coordinating study visits and serving as a liaison between participants and the study team.
  • Collect clinical data, complete source documents, and manage biological samples.
  • Complete case report forms according to source documents and respond to data clarification requests.
  • Establish and maintain study files, including regulatory binders and source documentation.
  • Prepare and manage regulatory submissions and inquiries.
  • Coordinate and attend Investigator Meetings, Site Selection visits, routine monitoring visits, and study closeout visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong planning, organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with clinicians, researchers, sponsors, patients, and families.
  • Prior experience with industry-sponsored trials and human subject research policies is preferred.
