About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator B/C at the Abramson Cancer Center is responsible for facilitating and ensuring good clinical practice in the conduct of complex oncology clinical research protocols. This role involves managing various phases of clinical trials, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with partnering institutions. The coordinator will oversee data collection, patient safety, and compliance with protocols while participating in study team meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the conduct of complex Phase I - IV clinical trials and registries within the ACC CRU Myeloma Research Team.
  • Complete relevant training to function in the role, including electronic databases and specimen processing.
  • Organize and assist in the preparation of documents for study initiation, monitoring, and audits.
  • Plan and implement patient recruitment strategies for studies.
  • Develop, schedule, and oversee participant visits and necessary testing according to protocol.
  • Monitor subjects per protocol requirements and ensure adherence to protocol.
  • Communicate clinical trial patient activity to the investigational drug pharmacy to ensure adequate drug supply.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of electronic study-specific case report forms and source document tools.
  • Collect, review, and report timely, valid, accurate study data.
  • Participate in Sponsor teleconferences to review ongoing patient status and share updates with the research team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience for CRC-B or 4-6 years for CRC-C, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience in coordinating clinical trials and managing research protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic databases such as REDCap and CTMS.
  • Familiarity with oncology clinical research protocols.
