About the position
The Clinical Research Coordinator I at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) plays a vital role in supporting pediatric psychologists and physician scientists in conducting clinical research. This position focuses on evaluating integrative medicine practices and their impact on the health outcomes of children with chronic or critical illnesses. The coordinator will assist in various research areas, including acupuncture, yoga, mindfulness, and virtual reality applications for pain management. This role also involves collaboration with the USC Institute for Integrative Health & Wellness to organize educational events and symposiums.
Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric psychologist and physician scientists in developing and implementing clinical research.
- Evaluate integrative medicine practices on health outcomes of children with chronic/critical illness.
- Collaborate with the Biobehavioral Pain Lab staff and Pain Medicine and Palliative Care Teams.
- Support the development and implementation of events and opportunities with the USC Institute for Integrative Health & Wellness.
- Conduct research on secondary traumatic stress in healthcare providers and virtual reality applications for pain management.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in clinical research and/or clinical trial coordination or computerized databases.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a related scientific field preferred.
- Certified clinical research associate/coordinator preferred.
Nice-to-haves
