About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator I position at Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Center involves coordinating the implementation and conduct of human subject research projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is essential in supporting cancer research initiatives and enhancing patient care through innovative clinical trials. The position is part-time (PRN), allowing for flexible hours up to 20 hours per week, and requires effective communication and organizational skills to manage various research activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects.
• Maintain regulatory documents and binders.
• Conduct data management and complete IRB submissions.
• Communicate with the research team and report serious adverse events and/or safety logs.
• Serve as a liaison between investigators, research personnel, and central research administration offices.
• Schedule pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, webinars, monitoring, and close-out visits.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate project protocols and research subject recruitment.
• Monitor and report project status and research data.
• Complete regulatory documents, data capture, monitoring plans, and protocol-related activities.
• Assist with preparing and responding to audits and maintaining research tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience as a Research Coordinator I.
• Proficiency with various computer-based skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, data entry, and EPIC.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or a science-related field (may substitute for two years of experience).
