About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) at Valley Children's Healthcare is responsible for monitoring and coordinating multiple oncology research projects. This role ensures the quality of research, adherence to timelines, and efficient resource utilization. The CRC assists Principal Investigators (PIs) with study protocol development, recruitment activities, patient consent, and data management, while ensuring compliance with research protocols and federal regulations. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role, as the CRC will liaise with various stakeholders including investigators, department members, and study sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate multiple oncology research projects.
  • Assist PIs with study protocol development and required study documents for IRB submission.
  • Conduct recruitment activities and consent patients for studies.
  • Ensure patient eligibility prior to enrollment and randomize patients to studies.
  • Abstract data and complete case report forms while maintaining research record integrity.
  • Schedule and meet with study monitors for site visits, ensuring data is audit-ready.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols, SOPs, policies, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of research experience required.
  • Minimum of (2) years related experience preferred.
  • Experience with clinical trials is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the scientific method and statistical analysis techniques preferred.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or three (3) years of equivalent research experience required.
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
