About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator will play a vital role in a NIH-funded study focused on the recovery of patients from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). This part-time position involves responsibilities such as data analysis, patient enrollment, and follow-up, contributing to the overall success of the research project.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and analyze data from COVID-19 survivors, including descriptive statistics and basic tests of associations.
  • Assist in preparing abstracts and manuscripts for presentation and publication.
  • Enroll and obtain informed consent from Spanish-speaking acute respiratory distress syndrome survivors near the end of their hospitalization.
  • Administer study questionnaires using a web-based system, conduct physical exams and functional measurements with a physical therapist, and conduct telephone follow-up surveys.
  • Conduct outpatient clinic research follow-up visits, including repeating questionnaires, measures of physical function, and phlebotomy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, with at least three years of related experience.
  • Fluency in Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, REDCap, and statistical software, preferably Stata.
