About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator-RN is a pivotal role within BCS Research, primarily responsible for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, research staff, and hospital personnel to effectively recruit, screen, educate, and assist in the overall coordination of clinical research studies. This position is essential in ensuring that clinical research studies are conducted in compliance with the International Code Harmonization (ICH), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and Good Clinical Practice standards. The Clinical Research Coordinator will manage various complex activities related to the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data, ensuring that all processes are meticulously followed to maintain the integrity of the research.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and hospital staff to recruit and screen participants for clinical research studies.
  • Educate participants about the study protocols and assist them throughout the research process.
  • Communicate effectively with collaborating hospital and research staff regarding patient care and protocol requirements.
  • Conduct clinical research studies in accordance with ICH, CFR, and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
  • Manage clinical research studies by participating in the collection, documentation, and analysis of clinical research data.
  • Monitor participants' progress and document any adverse events, reporting them as necessary.
  • Facilitate informed consent discussions and administer prescribed medical treatments to study participants as per the clinical research protocol.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
  • Possess a current State RN license in both Illinois and Missouri.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and mature judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Word Processing and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • CCRC certification preferred.
  • Clinical Research Coordinator certification required, with renewal as specified by the credentialing institution.
