About the position

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) and Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (Sr CRC) positions at UC Davis involve managing and overseeing clinical trials, particularly in oncology. The CRC is responsible for coordinating clinical research activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the administration of clinical studies. The Sr CRC takes on a leadership role, mentoring junior coordinators and managing more complex trials, requiring advanced knowledge and certification in clinical research.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clinical trials for subjects involved in cancer clinical trials.
  • Oversee data management activities related to clinical research.
  • Ensure quality assurance and participate in continuing education and meetings.
  • Mentor and provide oversight to junior research coordinators.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of disease processes as applied to human clinical research.
  • Understanding of clinical research trials regulation (FDA, OHRP, GCP).
  • Working knowledge of data management activities in clinical coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Certification from SoCRA or ACRP for Sr CRC position.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training for Sr CRC.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience coordinating clinical trials for Sr CRC.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal, local, and institutional regulations and policies for Sr CRC.
  • Advanced understanding of oncology disease processes for Sr CRC.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills or experience for Sr CRC.
