The Clinical Research Data Analyst at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine plays a crucial role in the analysis and transformation of clinical data sourced from both internal and external healthcare systems. This position is integral to the Department of Clinical and Translational Sciences, specifically within the Division of Clinical Informatics, and is supported by various grant funding sources such as NIH, CTSA, and COBRE. The analyst will be responsible for ingesting, analyzing, and transforming clinical data to provide insightful analyses or to share this data with other stakeholders. The role requires interaction with healthcare systems like Cerner and HealtheIntent, necessitating a strong understanding of these platforms. The analyst will work with diverse data formats, including Excel, CSV, and MS SQL, and will leverage tools such as SSAS and SSIS to manipulate and analyze data effectively. A solid foundation in medical knowledge is essential, as the analyst will interpret laboratory findings, physical signs, and symptoms from medical charts to support clinical research projects.
