About the position

The Clinical Research Data Scientist position at a top-ranked research university involves developing, refining, and implementing SAS/SPSS/R programs to process and analyze large datasets. The role focuses on data management and programming, supporting various research projects through data manipulation and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, refine and implement SAS/SPSS/R programs to process, clean and manipulate large datasets.
• Serve primarily as a data manager and programmer.
• Develop and implement SAS programs to process and manipulate large datasets.
• Create cross-sectional and longitudinal analytic datasets, including coding of complex variables and preparation of study reports.
• Prepare de-identified datasets for permanent archive and provide data programming and analytic support to senior analysts.
• Assist in carrying out a range of data and related tasks pertaining to study operations, including form design and generation of quarterly reports.
• Create and maintain data collection form library, codebooks for frozen datasets, and documentation for archival datasets.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in a relevant field.
• Data management skills.
• Statistical skills.
• SAS programming skills.
• Clinical research or healthcare data management experience.
• Prior programming experience in SAS or similar software/language.
• Ability to work with existing programs and develop new programs as necessary.
• Strong attention to detail.
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Management or Analytic capacity.
• Understanding of research and its components.
• Ability to work effectively on several projects concurrently.
