About the position

The Clinical Research Lab Technician at Flourish Research plays a vital role in the operations of a clinical research site, specializing in the sterile processing of bodily samples, cell isolation, and venipuncture. This position is essential for managing specimen logistics and maintaining lab efficiency while adhering to strict protocols and regulations. The technician will work in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow instruction manuals and sponsor protocols regarding laboratory specimens.
• Obtain, process, and ship laboratory specimens using good laboratory techniques and following OSHA and IATA regulations.
• Maintain IATA certification at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and protocol issues as appropriate and bound by Confidentiality Agreements and HIPAA regulations.
• Promptly report any adverse events or laboratory incidents to management.
• Ensure availability of appropriate amounts of laboratory supplies at all times.
• Communicate professionally with patients, sponsors, physicians, and clinic staff.
• Attend required training courses/conferences to stay updated on regulations and policies.
• Pursue educational opportunities to increase knowledge of the research process and good laboratory practices.
• Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a Biological field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1-3+ years of experience within the field of clinical or biological research.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Sample collection/handling experience required.
• Minimum of 1-3+ years' experience within a laboratory environment.
