The Clinical Research Operations Analyst II position at University Hospitals is designed to provide essential support to the Clinical Research Community and the business offices of the Clinical Research Center (CRC). This role is pivotal in configuring and monitoring financials within the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS), specifically using Velos eResearch, and managing the administrative processes throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials. The analyst will collaborate closely with Research Finance, Grants Accounting, and Grants and Contracts to facilitate study startup activities leading to site activation for clinical trials. Once the study has commenced, the analyst will be responsible for monitoring financial activities associated with the studies, providing guidance on outstanding receivables, and ensuring timely follow-up on invoices throughout the study's duration. This position also involves working with study teams to ensure that all reimbursable activities are recorded promptly and accurately. Key responsibilities include setting up the Study Calendar (Billing Protocol) in the CTMS based on Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) or non-patient care budgets, configuring initial milestones to track financial activities, and providing training to CRC business office staff and study teams to ensure accurate data entry. The analyst will oversee the delivery of financial metrics reports to CRC business offices and ensure that actions are taken to resolve any outstanding receivables. Additionally, the role includes auditing calendar and milestone configurations for accuracy and proper allocation of fees due to CRC core offices. The analyst will also partner with CRC leadership and study teams to identify studies with high screen failure to enrollment ratios, aiming to improve the fiscal health of research studies. This position requires compliance with all policies and standards, including the safe and secure maintenance of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients, and adherence to the UH Code of Conduct and policies during orientation.
