The Clinical Research Pharmacist Intern will play a vital role in supporting the Pharmacy Services team of Clinical Research Pharmacists (CRPs) at Bristol Myers Squibb. This internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in a pharmacy program and are seeking to gain hands-on experience in clinical research pharmacy operations. The primary objective of the Clinical Research Pharmacist is to provide pharmacy expertise in the development, management, and handling of investigational products at both program and protocol levels. This includes creating pharmacy manuals that will be utilized by healthcare personnel at clinical sites, ensuring that investigational products are handled correctly and safely. As an intern, you will work closely with an assigned Clinical Research Pharmacist, gaining exposure to various responsibilities within the Pharmacy Services team. You will support pharmacy services strategies and processes for Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) supported clinical studies, providing essential clinical pharmacy guidance during the development of clinical study protocols. This role will also involve educating clinical site personnel through in-services and meetings, ensuring they are well-informed about the proper handling and use of investigational products. Additionally, you will interface with the clinical team to assess site capability and feasibility prior to site selection, ensuring that all necessary supplies and compounding capabilities are in place. You will liaise with Global Quality and Regulatory Compliance to ensure that pharmacy practices align with local regulatory guidelines, and you will interact with Medical and Commercial teams to provide pharmacy expertise in response to inquiries from clinical or commercial site pharmacies. This internship will also allow you to collaborate with Drug Product Development and Strategic Innovation teams, contributing your pharmacy expertise to help develop practical product preparation methods and use time studies.
