The primary objective of the Clinical Research Pharmacist is to provide pharmacy expertise in the development, management, and handling of investigational products at both program and protocol levels. This includes creating pharmacy manuals that will be utilized by healthcare personnel at clinical sites, ensuring that the highest standards of pharmacy practice are maintained throughout the clinical research process. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with an assigned Clinical Research Pharmacist, gaining hands-on experience in key responsibilities that are essential to the success of clinical studies. You will support pharmacy services strategies and processes for Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) supported clinical studies, providing critical assistance to Global Development Operations (GDO) in the development of clinical study protocols. Your role will involve offering clinical pharmacy guidance on the handling, preparation, and administration of investigational products at clinical sites, ensuring that all practices align with local regulatory guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, you will educate clinical site personnel through in-services, investigator meetings, and follow-up visits, ensuring they are well-informed on the proper handling and use of investigational products. You will also interface with the clinical team to assess site capability and feasibility prior to site selection, liaising with Global Quality and Regulatory Compliance to ensure that all pharmacy practices meet regulatory standards.
