About the position

The position involves performing a variety of research activities focused on specimen collection, processing, and sample management in support of clinical research. The role ensures quality and adherence to protocols while assisting the clinical research team with various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare supplies needed for blood and airway sample collection.
  • Receive, log, and process samples, including manual cell counting and cell staining.
  • Manage sample storage and shipping of samples.
  • Maintain and update logs, forms, and study files in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports from logs as requested.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data to complement clinical study time points.
  • Collect data and specimens from research participants under clinical research protocols.
  • Assist the clinical research team with assigned tasks.
  • Attend routine meetings related to clinical research and stay updated on study protocol changes.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other study personnel to ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Resolve routine problems in the laboratory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of medical customer service experience.
  • Skills in cell culture work, detail-oriented tasks, human samples handling, information organization, interpersonal communication, and laboratory techniques.
