About the position
We are hiring for a Clinical Nurse Manager for the 6 West Complex Medical ICU unit at UofL Hospital. The Clinical Nurse Manager will have responsibility for the overall operations of the nursing unit to include financial performance, service quality, clinical outcomes, quality improvement, employee satisfaction, and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Manager of the Nursing Department will have direct reporting responsibility to a designated Nursing Director.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operations of the nursing unit.
- Manage financial performance and service quality.
- Ensure clinical outcomes and quality improvement.
- Promote employee satisfaction and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- 5+ years of experience in an acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Prior experience in nursing leadership roles in the hospital setting
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Professional certification in either a leadership or clinical specialty area (to be obtained within 1 year of hire if not present on hire)
