About the position

The Clinical Rotations Coordinator at Rocky Vista University is responsible for coordinating student clinical rotations for a designated cohort of RVUCOM students. This role involves maintaining accurate clinical information in the rotation management system, scheduling rotations, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner. The coordinator will collaborate with other clinical coordinators and support various educational leaders within the university to meet the needs of students and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate student clinical rotations for assigned cohort of students.
  • Collaborate with other clinical coordinators to ensure class needs are met.
  • Schedule student clinical rotations and address conflicts or concerns.
  • Ensure timely completion of all student documents related to clinical rotations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical information database for rotation sites and faculty.
  • Manage information for various credentialing databases such as VSLO and Clinician Nexus.
  • Recruit new doctors and sites for the RVU rotation base.
  • Oversee the evaluation process for students and clinical faculty.
  • Support the student advising program and assist educational leaders.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or five years of equivalent work experience in medical education.
  • Professional communication skills via email and telephone.
  • Demonstrated data skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and work effectively in a team.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Five years of work experience in medical education.
  • Experience in a Medical School or Residency Program.
  • Experience in scheduling in a healthcare-related facility.
