About the position

The Clinical Sales Manager, CPT at Abbott is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing clinical specialists within the Southern California region. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance service efficiency, improve productivity, and develop the clinical team. The manager will also oversee administrative tasks and ensure alignment with company policies and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Regional Sales Manager, Territory Managers, and Clinical Specialists to drive revenue growth and market share capture.
  • Identify clinical resources opportunities using analytics, time studies, and field visits.
  • Address clinical opportunities through coaching and the execution of measurable initiatives.
  • Coordinate and implement strategies to increase service efficiency and optimize clinical headcount utilization.
  • Manage and coach clinical specialists through field rides, meetings, and company resources.
  • Demonstrate effective change leadership to adapt to evolving customer needs and industry expectations.
  • Communicate and drive alignment within the Neuromodulation team on vision, goals, and activities.
  • Adhere to and reinforce policies, business conduct, and quality standards.
  • Recruit and hire top clinical candidates for open positions and maintain a diverse personnel bench.
  • Oversee training and development of the Clinical Specialist team in sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure direct reports have objectives and implement regular performance evaluations and feedback.
  • Coach the Clinical Specialist team on teamwork, time management, and career development.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to management, expense, inventory, and communication activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 7-9 years of related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and credibility in similar roles or industries.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and effect change.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Energetic, organized, determined, and goal-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Neuromodulation experience or demonstrated aptitude in Neuromodulation knowledge for implants and device support.
  • Knowledge of the local Neuromodulation customer base.
