About the position

The Clinical Sales Specialist for Acute Care at Baxter is responsible for driving sales of the Respiratory Health product line within a designated geographic area. This role focuses on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and ensuring a patient-centric approach in all dealings. The specialist will collaborate with clinical teams, negotiate contracts, and provide strategic leadership to enhance customer relationships and support patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the generation of new sales across the acute care continuum to healthcare providers.
  • Conduct negotiations with decision makers to finalize and close sales.
  • Coordinate efforts with clinical specialists and local Baxter counterparts to drive new sales and provide ongoing customer service.
  • Lead all aspects of the installation of new products and ensure customer satisfaction post-installation.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with customers to ensure retention and growth of sales.
  • Strengthen Baxter relationships throughout all levels of the hospital network.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a top-level sales performer in the medical device or healthcare industry preferred.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required.
  • Strong analytical skills to supervise sales activity and develop sales plans.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare system/IDN senior-level personnel.
  • Documented track record of success with multi-departmental deals.
