About the position

The Clinical Supervisor at Gavia Lifecare Center is a leadership role focused on providing high-quality complex care treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position involves direct clinical services, supervision of clinical staff, and program development to enhance the agency's complex care offerings. The role emphasizes community engagement and the delivery of individual therapy, while also ensuring compliance with OMH standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of 20-25 clients, performing evaluations, treatment planning, and individual and family therapy for 7-15 hours per week.
• Maintain appropriate paperwork as required by OMH standards.
• Interview, hire, and onboard complex care specific clinical staff.
• Directly supervise complex care specific clinical staff, including reviewing practices and validating clinical skills through direct observation.
• Document supervision sessions and perform other supervisory duties as required.
• Develop the Complex Care Program, including practice protocols and treatment standards.
• Facilitate the Complex Care supervision group and implement the program throughout the agency.
• Promote the Gavia Complex Care Program in the community to establish it as a premier program in Upstate NY.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in New York State.
• Experience in patient observation.
