About the position

The Clinical Supervisor is a qualified registered nurse responsible for overseeing and coordinating clinical activities for a designated group of patients and staff. This role involves case management, ensuring service quality, and maintaining compliance with regulations while providing high standards of care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management as described in 59A8.002 (5), F.A.C.
  • Manage clinical activities including patient assessments, care plan development, and service level determination.
  • Conduct on-site field visits and implement, coordinate, maintain, and evaluate care plans.
  • Supervise clinical staff directly and participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, and orientation of team members.
  • Ensure service quality and participate in care coordination for effective communication between caregivers, patients, referral sources, and payers.
  • Discuss operational issues and update staff on new or changed regulations.
  • Review records/documentation to ensure regulatory and in-house compliance.
  • Oversee clinical integrity of documentation, quality of care, visit utilization, and adherence to care plans.
  • Conduct and/or delegate patient assessments and reassessments, updating care plans as necessary.
  • Coordinate communication between team members, attending physicians, and caregivers to ensure appropriate care and outcome planning.
  • Interpret standards and company policies to ensure compliance with external regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain ongoing clinical knowledge through training programs.
  • Maintain relationships with referral and community sources.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • One year of medical/surgical nursing care experience is required
  • Experience as a public health nurse or in home health care is desirable.
