About the position

The Clinical Supervisor at New Chapter is responsible for overseeing clinical staff in a faith-based recovery setting, ensuring that treatment services are evidence-based and compliant with state regulations. This role involves providing direct clinical supervision, conducting staff training, and ensuring continuity of care for clients with substance use and mental health issues. The supervisor will also manage clinical meetings, audits, and documentation, while supporting the professional development of staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure behavioral and pharmacologic treatment approaches are evidence-based.
  • Provide and document direct clinical supervision to all clinical staff at least one hour per week.
  • Supervise counselor interns or provisionary licensed professionals for certification hours.
  • Co-facilitate at least one group per month for every group facilitator.
  • Ensure substance abuse counseling services align with client treatment plans.
  • Oversee assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of clients with co-occurring disorders.
  • Participate in staff education activities and provide consultation to program personnel.
  • Run weekly clinical staff meetings and document meeting outcomes.
  • Conduct biweekly family groups with clients' loved ones.
  • Assign caseloads to therapists based on client needs.
  • Audit documentation regularly to ensure timely submission of clinical notes and treatment plans.
  • Directly observe staff's clinical and administrative work.
  • Provide clinical training on suicide prevention and documentation procedures.
  • Assist the clinical director and administrator as needed.
  • Step in to run groups if short-staffed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in mental health or social work.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) with supervisory certification.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and substance abuse counseling.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • Full-time position with a structured schedule from Monday to Friday.
