About the position

The Clinical Supply and Procurement Manager at New York University is responsible for overseeing the supply operations for all clinical supply areas within the College of Dentistry. This role involves the standardization of protocols and training to ensure the efficient distribution of clinical instruments, equipment, and supplies. The manager will work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all deliveries of supplies are on schedule, thereby maintaining the operational flow of clinical services. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Clinical Supply and Procurement Manager will supervise simulation lab staff to assess special needs, review orders, and ensure that the orders align with bulk items previously approved in student kits or as sanctioned by the Senior Director of Instrumentation and Sterilization. The role also includes managing staff performance and assisting with the clinical purchasing, storage, and assembly of medical, dental, surgical, and related supplies, materials, instruments, and equipment utilized in patient care and treatment at the college. Furthermore, the manager will be responsible for approving daily purchase orders for clinical supplies and ensuring that the appropriate materials, as identified by the formulary committee, are ordered in acceptable quantities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of dental product experience or 5 years of general healthcare product experience required.
  • Ability to work in a quality-driven environment with a strong focus on customer service and support.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize daily assignments to meet objectives.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing daily goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of a Dental training program or equivalent experience preferred.
