About the position

The Clinical Support Coordinator at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta plays a vital role in coordinating business operations and providing administrative support to ensure efficient operations within a clinical department. This position is essential for supporting the delivery of safe and quality patient care, contributing to the overall mission of the organization to improve children's health.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely completion of timekeeping activities in compliance with Children's policies.
  • Monitors and maintains staff schedules; reviews and verifies employee records, transfers payroll hours as directed, and informs manager of any discrepancies.
  • Monitors and coordinates the day-to-day financial administrative activities, including submitting invoices, billing, and accounts payable.
  • Creates standard and ad hoc departmental reports by compiling, analyzing, and reviewing information from multiple sources.
  • Assists with the preparation and auditing of the departmental or project budget(s) and tracking/monitoring of related expenses.
  • Coordinates the servicing of office equipment as needed and maintains and orders office supplies/equipment as necessary.
  • Coordinates meetings, conferences, and other special events, as required, including identifying needed resources and arranging for required support (audio-video, technical, etc.).
  • Participates in continuous process improvement initiatives for the department.
  • Serves on committees, works on special projects, or acts as department representative as necessary.
  • May provide guidance to assigned staff, including tasks assignments and scheduling, workflow, and on-the-job training.
  • May assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
  • Performs other department-specific duties and other assignments as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience in administrative, secretarial, or business operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skill at typing 45 error-free words per minute.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
