About the position

The Clinical Support Specialist (Nursing) is responsible for overseeing nursing students during their clinical rotations in a hospital setting. The position is part-time and requires flexibility in scheduling based on the college's needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee students in their clinical rotations
• Provide support to students during clinical hours
• Assist the agency or state government in emergencies as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia
• A minimum of 2 years of direct nursing care experience in an in-patient setting
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize and work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Critical thinking and clinical judgement skills
• Ability to use instructional technology
• Ability to teach a diverse student population
