About the position

As a Clinical Support Specialist at CK Family Services, you will engage directly with children, youth, and their parents using evidence-based practices to enhance well-being and promote positive outcomes. This role requires a self-disciplined and detail-oriented individual who is responsible for providing rehabilitative mental health services, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to protocols and policies. The position emphasizes the importance of client confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide curriculum-based rehabilitative mental health services to families, individuals, and groups.
  • Complete all documentation (case notes, treatment plans, service request forms, behavioral questionnaires, and uniform assessments) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document services provided with the understanding that all clinical notations are considered legal documents.
  • Prepare and present assigned cases for review during monthly supervision or at other specified intervals.
  • Immediately contact assigned supervisor and file a report with DFPS within twenty-four hours if there is reason to believe that a consumer has been the victim of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Report critical incidents to assigned supervisor and director within 24 hours of the occurrence.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times and be familiar with all HIPAA laws and regulations.
  • Attend all Team, Individual, and Training Meetings as required.
  • Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, as applicable.
  • Ensure that all persons served are aware of all services offered within the agency.
  • Serve on task forces as requested.
  • Provide consultation to vendor agencies with whom the agency contracts as required.
  • Obey all city, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Participate in Child and Family Team meetings as appropriate.
  • Provide transportation for clients as appropriate in conjunction with services provided.
  • Open and process mail/e-mail daily in a timely manner.
  • Answer phone calls, listen to recorded messages, and respond to requests timely and accurately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field as specified in the Texas Administrative Code for QMHP qualifications.
  • Must possess basic therapeutic skills.
  • Experience and training in working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, children with severe emotional disturbances, and delivery of services based on curriculum.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including data entry, MS Office, jobsite portals, and company software.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people.
  • Strong cognitive, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
