This position is the third level in a four-level job series within the Information Technology Services, specifically in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Technical Services department. The EHR Systems Administrator is responsible for designing and maintaining the organization's clinical application architecture. This role involves assessing current and future state technologies, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement. As part of a growing DBA-focused team, the individual will primarily work with SQL Server environments while also supporting the broader team that ensures the hospital's EHR platform operates efficiently. The team is engaged in innovative projects that enhance overall hospital operations, making this a dynamic and impactful role. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of data technologies, complemented by experience in PowerShell scripting and potentially some web development. The role requires expert knowledge of applicable operating systems, such as Microsoft Server and RHEL/Linux, as well as system administration of various applications and databases, including Epic Client Systems, Epic Cogito, Citrix, and SQL. The candidate should be well-versed in all phases of software analysis and programming, including the policies, procedures, and tools relevant to the assigned computer programming/application environments. In addition to technical skills, the position demands strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate effectively with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the seamless operation of clinical systems and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services within the healthcare setting.
