About the position

The Clinical Systems Analyst 1 position at UHealth is a full-time role within the Information Technology department, focused on ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical computer information systems. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of clinical applications and systems development, including their build and implementation. The analyst will analyze, define, and apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems related to clinical application systems. Collaboration is key, as the analyst will work closely with team members, staff, and other personnel to understand the objectives and requirements for the assigned clinical system. In addition to troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking issues, the Clinical Systems Analyst 1 will provide basic support for designated clinical application systems. The role includes assisting with the design, development, and implementation of enhancements to existing systems. Participation in pre-implementation tasks such as system design, testing, and training is essential to gain thorough knowledge of technology-enabled workflows and application features. The analyst will also be responsible for collecting data from multiple sources to assist with implementations, optimizations, testing, and system upgrades. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing application support, completing service tickets, and participating in an on-call rotation. The analyst will assist with troubleshooting issues alongside other teams or business units and communicate new features, workflows, and training availability to the assigned group. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the dictionary database structure setup and maintenance for clinical information systems, completing workflow documentation, and adhering to Service Level Agreements for incident management. Compliance with UHealth IT standards and university policies is mandatory, ensuring the safeguarding of university assets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical computer information systems are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyze, define, and apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems regarding clinical application systems.
  • Provide basic support for designated clinical applications systems.
  • Assist with the design, development, and implementation of enhancements to existing systems.
  • Participate in pre-implementation tasks such as system design, testing, and training.
  • Collect data from multiple sources to assist with implementations, optimizations, testing, and system upgrades.
  • Provide day-to-day application support and complete service tickets.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for application support.
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues with members of other teams or business units.
  • Communicate new features/functionality, new workflows, and training system availability to assigned group.
  • Assist end users with system-related issues and oversee dictionary database structure setup and maintenance.
  • Complete workflow documentation and adhere to Service Level Agreements for incident management.
  • Adhere to UHealth IT standards and university policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Excel (pivot tables), Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art technology.
  • Experience with major systems development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and control.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and provide solutions.
  • Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise.
