About the position
The Clinical Training & EHR Support Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio Electronic Health Record training at the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS). This position focuses on providing technical support to clinical and operational end users, ensuring high-quality customer service, and facilitating the effective use of electronic health record systems. The analyst will engage with staff, track user requests, and assist in the development of training initiatives to enhance user competence in software and systems utilized across UMMS.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical support for clinical and operational end users of the electronic health record.
- Deliver high-level front line customer service and interact professionally with staff.
- Round on units and answer support calls from departments regarding hardware/software/workflow questions.
- Track and document user requests, engaging appropriate resources to support operations and close support requests in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for employee training on computer software and systems.
- Ensure the quality of informatics training and support services delivered.
- Coordinate with IS&T application training teams and contribute to system design and maintenance for multidisciplinary team functioning.
- Manage small to medium projects or specific aspects of projects related to training and support for clinical or business applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or applicable field or comparable applicable industry experience preferred.
- Clinical licensure in the State of Maryland, or eligibility for licensure due to Compact state agreements is required for clinical roles.
- Three or more years of clinical experience or comparable education and clinical experience in a related healthcare field required.
- Informatics or Training Industry Certification recommended.
- Application credentialing required within the first 90 days of hire.
