About the position
The Clinician for Functional Family Therapy (FFT) will be responsible for providing short-term therapy to at-risk youth and their families using the FFT model. This role involves conducting assessments, coordinating services, and improving family communication and cohesion. The clinician will also participate in professional development and supervision activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide short-term Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to at-risk youth and their families.
- Conduct intake and assessment paperwork for families.
- Deliver in-person and/or Telehealth services following the FFT model.
- Assess client risk and protective domains with family members.
- Help family members improve communication and reduce behavior problems.
- Increase family cohesion through therapeutic interventions.
- Coordinate services with various providers and receive referrals from schools, child welfare facilities, and mental health facilities.
- Participate in supervision, trainings, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Previous training and experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families.
- Clinical license required (LAC/LPC, LSW/LCSW, MFT, LMFT).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Telehealth services.
- Familiarity with the Functional Family Therapy model.
