About the position
The Clinician II position at NFI Massachusetts, Inc. is a part-time role focused on providing mental health and substance use treatment as part of the Massachusetts Impaired Driver Program. The role involves leading group sessions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with clients and their support systems. Responsibilities
- Lead weekly MID groups for 16-week intervals.
- Complete documentation in computerized medical records.
- Prepare monthly reports to the Probation Department.
- Develop treatment plans with each client in the group.
- Document discharge information.
- Collaborate with collaterals and other natural supports.
- Complete individual treatment plans.
- Facilitate group services.
- Conduct quarterly treatment reviews.
- Perform exit interviews with each client.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Implement harm reduction and recovery/safety planning as needed.
- Make referrals to outside communication resources.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings and supervision.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work or counseling, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
- Flexible schedule, as groups are generally held in the evening.
- Experience with virtual services, as most groups are conducted on Zoom or Teams.
