About the position

The Clinician II position at Compass Health involves providing a range of clinically indicated services to adults with behavioral health conditions and their families. The role includes individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management services. The clinician will assess client and family needs, develop tailored care plans, and may provide clinical support to interns. This position is part of a close-knit team dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy to clients.
  • Conduct assessments of client and family functioning and needs.
  • Develop individualized care plans in partnership with clients and families.
  • Provide case management services for adults with behavioral health conditions.
  • Support and mentor interns as appropriate.

Requirements

  • MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.
  • Qualification as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC preferred.
  • Educational and training requirements for designation as a Child Mental Health Specialist preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Evidence-Based Practices or willingness to learn.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License with vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.
  • Positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • General computer proficiency, including electronic medical record systems.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Evidence-Based Practices in mental health counseling.
  • Interest in working with diverse populations and complex cases.
