About the position

The Clinician at Inspire Georgia is responsible for conducting behavioral health assessments and providing ongoing clinical services to minors. This role involves delivering weekly individual and group therapy sessions to help minors adapt to their new environment and develop social skills. The Clinician also ensures compliance with documentation and reporting requirements while maintaining accurate records of service provision.

Responsibilities

  • Completes initial clinical intake risk and behavioral health assessments.
  • Completes human trafficking and gang violence affiliation/exposure screenings.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of service provision in each UAC case file, while ensuring compliance with ORR and agency documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Reviews medication, religious and activity logs to ensure child's needs are met.
  • Collaborate with Lead Clinician to meet agency's Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI)/Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
  • Periodically reviews risk and behavioral health assessments to determine appropriateness of current safety, individualized service plans.
  • Completes all initial and annual training requirements.
  • Provides crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree plus two years of direct clinical experience, or a bachelor's degree in social work or other relevant behavioral science plus five years of direct clinical experience working with children and families.
  • Excellent computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Extended Reach, electronic databases.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and success working in a culturally and socioeconomically diverse environment with a high level of cultural competence.
  • Must be sensitive to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to take initiative, work within a team and independently.
  • Must have a personal vehicle, valid Georgia Driver's license, personal auto insurance, and a good driving record.
