About the position

The Clinician (Masters) MHP - Community Outreach position at Telecare Corporation is a vital role aimed at providing clinical and casework services to individuals with severe mental illness. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the Social Work Clinician II will engage in person-centered recovery planning and collaborate with various services and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for clients. This position is integral to the Community Alternatives Team (T-CAT), which offers outreach services in Pierce County, focusing on preventing psychiatric hospitalizations and supporting individuals transitioning from inpatient settings to outpatient care. The role involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop recovery plans, and connect them with necessary resources. Clinicians will also be responsible for driving clients to appointments and group sessions using a company vehicle, emphasizing the importance of mobility in accessing mental health services. The position offers full-time shifts, including options for morning and swing shifts, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while ensuring that clients receive the support they need. Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and casework services to clients and their natural supports under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
  • Engage in person-centered recovery planning to support clients in their mental health journey.
  • Collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Drive clients to appointments and group sessions using a company vehicle as needed.
  • Assess client needs and develop appropriate recovery plans in partnership with clients and their families.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in the Social Services field from an accredited graduate school.
  • One year of direct service experience with individuals with severe mental illness in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.

  • Experience working with diverse populations including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support services for mental health.
