About the position

The Collateralized Loan Obligation Group (CLO) at U.S. Bank is a vital division within Global Corporate Trust and Custody, focusing on structured finance vehicles that issue both debt and equity liabilities. The proceeds from these issuances are utilized to acquire a diverse portfolio of collateral, which typically includes syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities (ABS), mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and mezzanine debt. This role is integral to the management of these financial instruments, providing a range of services that ensure the smooth operation and reporting of the CLO portfolio. In this position, you will be responsible for settling bond and bank loan trades, as well as investing excess cash as directed by the Portfolio Manager. You will also be tasked with booking cash inflows and outflows to the portfolio, tracking essential asset attributes such as accrual information, ratings, and industry codes. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive reports to clients on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis, and assist Analysts in reporting to investors. Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data is crucial, which involves proper booking and reconciliation of account activity to maintain the integrity of the financial information. Responsibilities

  • Settles bond/bank loan trades and invests excess cash as directed by the Portfolio Manager.
  • Books cash inflows/outflows to the portfolio.
  • Tracks asset attributes such as accrual information, rating, industry codes, etc.
  • Provides reports to clients on a daily/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Assists Analysts with reporting to investors.
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of data through proper booking and reconciliation of account activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically two to four years of relevant work experience.
