About the position

The Closing Processor plays a crucial role in supporting the business plan and strategic direction of the organization by assisting in the preparation of settlement statements and ensuring clear title. This in-office position involves file processing, pre-typing, disbursing, and recording to facilitate the closing process effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Model and uphold the Land Title Guarantee Company culture, acting as a coach and mentor to others.
  • Maintain customer relationships and respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate daily closing activities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Obtain clear title by ordering title reports, resolving defects, and satisfying liens.
  • Assist in preparing preliminary settlement statements and real estate documents.
  • Prepare general and specialized closing documents, organizing them in preferred order.
  • Prepare deposits and receipts, process cashier's checks, and manage check voids or stops.
  • Disburse funds and documents according to instructions from relevant parties.
  • Proofread recording documents for errors and ensure proper recording with state/county agencies.
  • Perform notarial duties following National Notary Association Guidelines.
  • Coordinate the customer closing experience, including guiding customers and managing closing room logistics.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including document distribution and clerical tasks.
  • Participate in department marketing activities as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to obtain Colorado Notary certification.
  • Strong customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with E-mail, Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the real estate or title industry is a plus.
