As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing containerized applications and DevOps utilities for a cutting-edge satellite ground system. You will gain insights into software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects and familiarize yourself with satellite ground system technologies, including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations. Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized applications and DevOps utilities for a cutting-edge satellite ground system.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
  • Adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs.
  • Contribute to classified programs and technologies.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience programming with Java and Groovy.
  • Experience building container images and helm charts from scratch and deploying to Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux and Git administration.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Expert-level Kubernetes debugging skills.
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA).
  • Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience working with a large-scale legacy software system.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
