As a Cloud and Containerized App Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing containerized applications and DevOps utilities for a cutting-edge satellite ground system. This position offers the opportunity to work within small agile teams that adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs, directly impacting classified programs and technologies that contribute to national security. You will be immersed in a collaborative environment, working alongside talented engineers, architects, and leaders, where you will learn modern DevSecOps practices and software lifecycle techniques tailored for large-scale defense projects. Your contributions will help advance satellite ground system technologies, including command and telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized applications and DevOps utilities for a satellite ground system.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
  • Implement modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
  • Contribute to software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience programming with Java and Groovy.
  • Experience building container images and helm charts from scratch and deploying to Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Linux and Git administration.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Expert-level Kubernetes debugging skills.
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA).
  • Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience working with a large-scale legacy software system.
  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
