About the position

The Sales Engineer for the Cloud Practice Area at Leidos will serve as a vital link between technical expertise and business development, focusing on promoting cloud solutions to federal clients. This role involves understanding client needs, driving the adoption of repeatable offerings, and providing innovative solutions in cloud computing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Articulate technical benefits, features, and use cases of Leidos Cloud Repeatable Offerings to potential clients.
  • Stay informed about cloud trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Direct strategic initiatives to enhance Leidos offerings portfolio.
  • Work with business development and account management to identify customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops for government customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Provide consulting and thought leadership to influence client decision-making.
  • Partner with capture teams and solutions architects to design cloud solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to address complex technical challenges.
  • Architect and oversee the implementation of large-scale cloud solutions.
  • Advocate best practices and guide efforts to improve Leidos's cloud offerings based on market trends and client feedback.
  • Collaborate with team members, client stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication and project alignment.
  • Influence solution design and process improvements within the practice area.
  • Direct cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 15+ years in software development or software engineering roles.
  • Extensive experience in Cloud Technologies and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying scalable applications in cloud environments.
  • Proven track record of resolving complex technical challenges in cloud and data center architectures.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience directing teams in cloud and data center solutions.
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in dynamic environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with legacy programming languages is advantageous.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $144,300.00 - $260,850.00 based on experience and qualifications.
