About the position

The Cloud Application Migration Specialist at LTIMindtree is responsible for the development and deployment of applications using Node.js, Python, Go, and similar languages. This role focuses on migrating applications to cloud-native platforms, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes, while ensuring best practices in microservices and RESTful APIs are followed. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy applications using Node.js, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Migrate applications from PCF/TAS/TKGI to OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Implement microservices and RESTful APIs in cloud-native development practices.
• Utilize containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, and Harness.
• Diagnose and resolve multi-language application issues in Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in development and deployment of applications in Node.js, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native development practices.
• Proven experience migrating applications to OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Knowledge of Helm for application packaging.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.

Nice-to-haves

• OpenShift or Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKAD or CKA).
