About the position
The Cloud Application Engineering Manager at Block is responsible for overseeing the corporate SaaS platform portfolio, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of applications to support operational and strategic needs. This role involves leading initiatives for system integrations, process automation, user lifecycle management, and SaaS implementation/migration, with a strong focus on security and scalability within the corporate IT ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of corporate SaaS platforms.
- Work closely with teams across Corporate Security, Finance, Legal, Corporate Development, Business Operations, and Engineering.
- Lead initiatives to automate key workflows and enhance system integrations.
- Define and execute the strategy for user lifecycle management.
- Lead IT SaaS integrations in mergers and acquisitions.
Requirements
- 8+ years in Information Technology with at least 5 years in IT or engineering management.
- Proven experience in leading geographically diverse teams.
- Strong capacity to provide technical guidance and mentor team members.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning IT projects with organizational goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Google, Atlassian, Notion, and Dropbox.
