About the position

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program for the summer of 2025. This twelve-week program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, providing a variety of work arrangements, including fully remote options within the United States. Each intern will receive a competitive salary, and applications will be collected and reviewed, with selected candidates contacted in late fall or early winter. The Cloud Applications Development Intern will play a crucial role in assisting with the development and testing of Cloud-Native platform software. This includes integrating with wired and wireless communication protocol stacks and embedded firmware systems in professional audio products. The intern will collaborate with various divisions within the company, including Marketing, to establish use cases and requirements, as well as to define and execute software tests and test plans. This internship can be conducted in a hybrid or fully remote format, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the design and implementation of Cloud-Native platform software that controls and manages audio products and networking technologies using AWS technologies
  • Collaborates with marketing, software test, and system engineering to define platform-independent software use cases and requirements
  • Develops application software using technologies such as Type Script, Angular, and HTML5/CSS
  • Develops embedded application software on Linux, in C++
  • Estimates, organizes, and documents tasks
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Cloud-Native development concepts and AWS technologies
  • Experience with programming languages such as Type Script, Angular, HTML5/CSS, and C++
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous internship experience in software development or related field
  • Knowledge of audio products and communication protocols
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
