About the position

The Cloud Architect position at IT Concepts, Inc. involves designing, managing, and integrating applications into the SIE cloud environment for the Department of Defense (DoD). The role requires expertise in cloud architecture, particularly within AWS and Azure environments, and focuses on ensuring security, scalability, and performance of cloud systems. The architect will implement security controls, monitor cloud infrastructure performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and integrate new and existing applications into the SIE cloud environment.
• Implement and oversee cloud architecture for DoD systems, ensuring compliance with security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Implement security controls in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies, including encryption and access controls.
• Develop scalable architecture for USSOCOM cloud platforms.
• Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud-based environments for performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in a relevant field and a MA/MS degree.
• Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of work experience may substitute for a Master's Degree.
• 12 years of work experience may substitute for a Master's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF and FedRAMP compliance.
• Expertise in cloud networking, including VPC design and connectivity options.
• Knowledge of cloud automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation.
