About the position

The Cloud Architect position focuses on designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes control planes while leveraging cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. The role requires a deep understanding of cloud concepts, infrastructure automation, and security principles, with an emphasis on resilience and DevOps practices. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Kubernetes and related technologies, including Crossplane, to effectively manage and scale cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale the Kubernetes platform.
• Operate control planes for large-scale Kubernetes environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) automation for cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Ensure security and resilience in cloud architecture, applying zero-trust design principles where applicable.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver solutions using DevOps and GitOps methodologies.

Requirements

• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes at scale.
• Experience designing and operating control planes for large-scale Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and services, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) automation and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Knowledge of security concepts and SRE/resilience principles.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, and microservices.
• Experience with Crossplane is a plus.
• Proficiency in Golang programming and experience with Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Python programming.
• Platform-level Kubernetes experience.
