About The Position

The position requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and W365 Cloud PC. The role involves deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based virtual desktop environments, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with operational teams to enhance service delivery through automation and best practices.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in VDI technologies, specifically Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop and W365 Cloud PC.
• Experience in deploying and managing W365 Cloud PC and Azure Virtual Desktops in a production environment.
• Proficient in configuring and managing provisioning policies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Network connections for W365 Cloud PC.
• Excellent understanding of AZURE AVD host pool and workspaces.
• Experience in configuring and managing AVD session hosts in production.
• Skilled in image management and centralized control.
• Knowledge of security hardening practices for VDI infrastructure.
• Experience with Azure Premium File Share and Azure NetApp files.
• Familiarity with FSLogix profile management for AVD hosts.
• Experience with Azure IaaS and Autoscale configurations.
• Proficient in Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Diagnostics settings.
• Good understanding of Azure Vnet, NSG, and firewall configurations.
• Ability to troubleshoot virtual desktops and applications in a multi-cast domain environment.
• Proficient in PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, and other IaaC tools.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ServiceNow or other ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage W365 Cloud PC and Azure Virtual Desktops in the Microsoft Azure Production Environment.
• Configure and manage provisioning policies for Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Set up and manage Azure Network connections for W365 Cloud PC.
• Oversee the AZURE AVD host pool and workspaces.
• Configure and manage AVD session hosts in a production environment.
• Manage efficient image management and centralized control.
• Implement security hardening of VDI infrastructure according to regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
• Configure Azure Premium File Share and Azure NetApp files.
• Manage FSLogix profile management for AVD hosts on Azure files and NetApp.
• Work with Azure IaaS and manage Autoscale configurations.
• Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Diagnostics settings.
• Troubleshoot virtual desktops and applications in a multi-cast domain environment.
• Utilize PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools for automation.
• Collaborate with operational counterparts to identify and implement client improvement opportunities.
