About the position

The Cloud Architect - Senior / Software Architect - Senior position at iN2 STEM Solutions, Inc. involves leading the implementation and operation of a life cycle development and sustainment environment for a cloud-based portal capability. The role is critical in supporting the Department of the Army's Army Counterintelligence Operations Portal (ACOP) and requires collaboration with various government agencies and companies. The selected candidate will leverage their extensive experience in cloud architecture and software development to ensure optimal solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coordinating cloud architecture
• Developing a cloud strategy and coordinating the adaptation process
• Evaluate, prioritize, and support the design for optimal solutions to meet customer needs
• Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
• Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet
• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell)
• Experience in current Cloud technologies, architectures, best practices, cloud native tools, emerging technologies, and trends
• Integration of cloud services
• Ensure maximum uptime of cloud hosted environments, including production, staging, testing and development environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Ten (10) years of experience in design and implementation with distributed applications
• Experience in software development tools and methodologies
• Strong presentation skills and comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
• Ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations
• Experience with government and industry standards and specifications
• Experience with DevOps strategies
• Technical certifications through AWS, COMPTIA, etc.
• Experience in designing, describing, and documenting complex architectures
• Experience in program roadmaps, execution of program systems, security, systems engineering, and operations
• Experience in investigating and prototyping technical solutions to address customer requirements
