About the position

Northern Trust is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect with a focus on Microsoft Azure. This role involves the architecture, design, and leadership of public cloud initiatives across various business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating cloud adoption plans, designing cloud services, and operationalizing those services, while collaborating with different teams to drive innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design public cloud initiatives across multiple business units.
• Complete solution design phase technical artifacts for architecturally significant projects.
• Create cloud adoption plans and cloud service designs.
• Collaborate with various business units to drive innovative solutions.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Document Platform Reference Architectures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Help triage incidents in stage and production environments with the cloud operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Azure Cloud Computing.
• 10+ years of professional experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solutions Architect.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Current Azure Certifications preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management technologies and integration with Azure.
