About the position

The Cloud Architect at Origence is responsible for creating and executing cloud infrastructure strategies, focusing on the design and development of cloud services to meet business objectives. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Product Management, Development, QA, DevOps, and Engineering, to migrate, build, and deploy applications. The Cloud Architect will also provide architectural reviews, guidance, and standards to ensure platform consistency and adherence to defined standards, while becoming a subject matter expert in key cloud subsystems.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute cloud infrastructure strategies.
  • Design and assist with the development of cloud services and assets.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Development, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams for application migration, building, and deployment.
  • Provide architecture reviews for designs impacting corporate cloud infrastructure.
  • Establish guidance, standards, and architectural patterns for development solutions.
  • Ensure platform consistency through automation and adherence to defined standards.
  • Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the platform.
  • Become a subject matter expert in cloud subsystems such as security, monitoring, API gateway, networking, or database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-5 years of technical experience in cloud architecture, preferably Azure.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud components and services (Storage, Configuration, Compute platforms, Containers, Entra ID, etc.).
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as JSON and YAML, and management tools like PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform (IaC), and Ansible.
  • Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL) and non-relational databases (CosmosDB).
  • Experience with Data & Analytics and AI platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Streaming, AI Services).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
