About the position

The Cloud Data & Analytics Architect role focuses on leveraging Microsoft Azure to deliver innovative data and analytics solutions. This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to address critical business challenges, executing technical assessments, and leading teams in migrating workloads to the cloud. The architect will also document best practices and contribute to business development efforts, all while working in a flexible and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, company sponsors, and delivery teams to solve business and technology problems using Microsoft Azure.
• Execute technical feasibility assessments, solution estimations, and proposal development for data & analytics solutions.
• Develop functional and technical designs for targeted solutions in Azure.
• Create migration approaches for moving workloads from on-premises to Azure or developing new cloud-ready solutions.
• Lead and mentor teams in the migration of workloads or implementations of cloud data & analytics solutions in large enterprise environments.
• Document and share technical best practices and insights with the customer and company community.
• Strategize, plan, and execute business development related to data & analytics opportunities.
• Engage with internal technology leaders and solutions experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.
• Expand the organization’s portfolio of solutions and professional services in the local geography.
• Maintain and grow client relationships.
• Induce solutions and ideas to help clients improve their business performance.
• Work in an entrepreneurial environment with high access to senior management.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and ability to architect, design, and implement data & analytics solutions on Azure.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Azure Synapse, Snowflake).
• Experience with cloud data lakes (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob Storage, Snowflake).
• Experience with cloud data integration/processing (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Spark).
• Understanding of data science tools and solutions to support operationalization of machine learning and analytics models.
• Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
• Oversight experience on transformational projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams.
• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in strategic accounts.
• Full lifecycle experience implementing data & analytics solutions with knowledge of agile development, SCRUM, and DevOps.
• Project experience in migrating on-premise workloads to the cloud and/or implementing cloud-ready applications.
• Experience with on-premise to Azure cloud migrations, including familiarity with data replication technologies.
• Experience in full data pipeline technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Azure Blob Storage, Synapse, and related tools.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps tools and best practices for environment management.
• Experience with hybrid data architectures, including on-premise, cloud, and related components.
• Knowledge of virtualization, networking, storage, and security configuration and management in the cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
