The Public Cloud Azure Engineer position at Connection is a remote contract role focused on providing architectural guidance, designing disaster recovery strategies, and implementing cloud solutions on Azure. Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and expertise to IT personnel, including software developers and systems engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies on Azure.
• Design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Azure.
• Develop and implement the organization's cloud strategy, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring.
• Plan and execute the deployment of cloud solutions.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or Perl for task automation and resource management.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and Azure services, including compute, storage, and networking.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
